1-abc.net Security Box 2 is a security suite that combines 6 security tools that can be accessed from the same window. It offers a password organizer, a file encrypter, a backup tool, a personal diary, a file washer (secure delete) and synchronizer tool. All of these tools can be accessed from the same window.The password organizer comes with a simple and intuitive interface, and can manage multiple accounts. Each account can have a name, a login, a password, a a website and some additional information. This tool includes a random password generator, a copy function for the login fields and can export the passwords to a TXT file. All the information is protected with a master password.
The file encrypter can be used to encrypt or decrypt files on the hard drive, floppy disk or USB stick. It can use 3 easy encrypting procedures that don't require password (Simple XOR, Extended XOR or Simple Hex) or 7 more advanced encrypting procedures that also require a password (such as AES, Blowfish, Twofish, Serpent, MARS, etc).
The backup tool can read and write from the hard drive, from SD cards, USB sticks or external drives and can backup single files or complete contents of folders. It also allows to schedule backups in days, hours or minutes and can also save the backups to FTP folders.
The personal diary can be installed on USB sticks, or other re-writable media and uses a secure encryption algorithm - AES (Advanced Encryption Standard). It has some basic features such as customize colors, search function, sort function, backup and import entries or export to unencrypted text file (for printing issues).
The file washer is a tool that can securely remove files and folders from the hard drives. It can use 4 fast erasing methods, 2 methods to overwrite the data to be deleted and 3 slow, but powerful deleting methods (DoD II, DoD 3+7+3 and Gutman Method). The tool can also wipe Recycle Bin, write wiping reports, integrate in context menu or rename files and change their attributes.
The file synchronizer can synchronize an unlimited number of local and external folders as needed and can schedule synchronizations in days, hours and minutes. It also features Synchronization Check.
